FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? All pricing is subject to change (usually goes down for seasonal promotions) I offer referral discounts and all sessions can be paid in payments until the date of the session.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer? I like to meet my clients before a session, however that's not always possible so text, email, call, or social media works just fine. Its up to you! We first confirm availability and discuss the services needed. To book we require a contract filled out digitally and a deposit. I am here to help plan your session and figure out the best location. You are not in this alone, I am here to make suggestions and help you pin point the perfect place and time for lighting. :) I like to build a connection and after the session you receive your images with in a week via online galley and a code for a print credit.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work? I come from a graphic design background. I studied graphic design and photography at Cerritos College, The Art Institute, and Academy of Art University. I have been doing photography since 2013. I have been a full time photographer ever since!
How did you get started doing this type of work? When I bought my first camera, photography came natural to me and I fell in love with how rewarding the job is. Photographs endure time and they are an investment that only grows with every passing day. Think back to those baby pictures. How much more valuable are they the older you get?
What types of customers have you worked with? I have worked with newborn babies, couples, families, real estate agents, mom and pop shops, newlyweds, and even pets! The more the merrier!
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take? A few years back I did a newborn session in the hospital for a client. Grandpa was present but he wasn't planning on being in the photos but somehow I managed to get him to agree. I don't normally push for that but his interactions with his grandson were just too precious not to capture. With his consent I took a few photos. Well a few months later he suddenly passed away and the family couldn't thank me enough for those two photos. It was the only photo he had taken with his grandchild. Photos really are precious!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work? Make sure your photographer makes you feel comfortable. Ensure that you feel heard. Communication, as well as feeling comfortable are key to getting a great session done. Many times we base our choices off price but you should really seek customer service as well.
